Paid Education Hours
Training isn't on your own time. We pay you to learn — including quarterly advanced color classes and certification tracks.
Color Lush isn't a booth-rental salon. It's a team-first environment where education, mentorship, and real career paths are built in — not afterthoughts.
Why Color Lush
Most salons promise growth but deliver a chair and a commission split. We built something different: a system where advancing your skills actually advances your career. Where education isn't optional — it's the foundation. Where the team wins together.
The Program
Training isn't on your own time. We pay you to learn — including quarterly advanced color classes and certification tracks.
Six levels with clear milestones. You know exactly what it takes to advance — and your pricing reflects your skill.
Every new stylist is paired with a senior team member. Real guidance, not just "figure it out."
Become master-certified in hand-tied extensions. We're a Harper Ellis Legacy salon — one of the few in Tennessee.
Work with professional-grade color from a brand that prioritizes hair health. Discounted retail for your own use.
Learn our signature head spa service in dedicated treatment rooms. A specialty that sets you apart.
Not just "use this." Understand why — the chemistry, the application, the consultation. Retail becomes natural.
No drama, no competition for clients, no gossip. We win together. That's not a slogan — it's how we operate.
Career Path
Your skill determines your level. Your level determines your pricing. Advance by completing education milestones and demonstrating mastery.
Culture Fit
Just Starting Out?
If you're still in cosmetology school or recently graduated, our apprentice program lets you learn on real clients under direct mentorship — before you're behind the chair alone.
You'll assist senior stylists, attend every education session, and build skills in a supported environment. Most apprentices advance to Level 1 within 6–12 months.

From the Team
"I learned more in my first six months here than in two years at my last salon. The education isn't optional — it's the whole point."
"No drama. No competition for clients. Just a team that actually supports each other. I didn't think that existed."
"The level system made it clear what I needed to do to grow. My pricing went up because my skills went up. It's that simple."
